SEOUL — NHN Cloud declared on May 26 that its graphics processing unit (GPU) resources are entirely booked for the current year. The company reported customers are already making arrangements to secure capacity for 2027. This announcement coincided with the unveiling of 'Factory X', a new brand for NHN Cloud's artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure services.
The cloud provider's chief executive, Kim Dong-hoon, stated that NHN Cloud's AI chip clusters are operating at maximum utilization. This full capacity was confirmed on the same day the company introduced its new AI brand at an event in Seoul.
For clients who have secured GPU access, NHN Cloud provides two platform offerings:
GPU Live: Designed to help businesses optimize their GPU usage, aiming to reduce waste.
EasyMaker: A development environment intended for the creation of AI applications.
Beyond its domestic market, NHN Cloud is also setting its sights on Japan's AI infrastructure sector. Kim Dong-hoon characterized this market as currently being behind South Korea's, suggesting it presents an opportunity for NHN Cloud's expansion.
