Accused Siya Goyal Consents to Polygraph Test; Alibis Clash Over Fiancé's Death
Pune, July 7, 2026 – Siya Goyal, one of the primary accused in the alleged murder of her fiancé Ketan Agarwal, has agreed to undergo a polygraph test as the investigation into his death continues to deepen. Goyal and co-accused Chetan Chaudhary are reportedly blaming each other for pushing Agarwal off a cliff in Pune's Lulla Nagar area. The police are using this test to clarify discrepancies in their accounts.
The development follows the circulation of a video, purportedly from December 2025, showing Goyal engaged in an agitated phone conversation in a nightclub. The video, featuring Goyal in a crowded venue and heard saying, "First He Cheats, Then Calls Me," has added a layer of complexity to the ongoing case, drawing fresh attention to the investigation. The clip, lasting approximately 15 seconds, begins with Goyal answering a call and questioning the caller's identity amid loud background music.

New Footage Emerges, Shedding Light on Pre-Murder Meetings
Investigators are scrutinizing new evidence, including a Snapchat video reportedly captured weeks before Agarwal's death. This footage purportedly shows Goyal and Chaudhary in an embrace, a detail that contrasts with claims made by Goyal's parents who have asserted that Chaudhary was merely a friend to their daughter.
The police previously stated that Goyal and Chaudhary met at a Pune cafe on June 18, allegedly to plot the murder of Agarwal. The couple faces charges of murder and criminal conspiracy related to Agarwal's death on June 18. The incident was initially reported as an accidental fall during a trek at Lohagad Fort.
Agarwal, 26, was engaged to Goyal, with their wedding scheduled for November of this year. Authorities have indicated that a face-to-face interrogation of both Goyal and Chaudhary is necessary to fully comprehend the context of their conversations and actions.
